ThornGuard — Garden DefenceBuy

Fitting guide

Fitted in minutes.

Everything you need is in the box. Wear gloves — the tips are genuinely sharp (that's the point).

1

Measure & cut

Measure your run. Cut across the strip at the section joins with sturdy scissors or snips, or split it lengthways along the two guide lines to make up to three narrow runs.

2

Position

Lay it flat on ledges and sills, fold it over fence tops and wall edges, or fold along the length to wrap posts and rails on three sides. Bend it to follow curves.

3

Fix down

Screw through the pre-drilled holes, or loop the included cable ties through and pull tight. For no-drill surfaces use ThornGuard 3M adhesive pads (sold separately).

Cutting across sections and splitting lengthways

Cut across. Split lengthways.

Each 40cm strip is four linked sections — cut between them for shorter pieces. Need thin runs for narrow ledges or maximum coverage? Split the strip along its two lengthways guide lines: one strip becomes up to three slim spiked rails.

Flat, folded or wrapped

Flat for sills, gutters and AC units. Folded over fence tops and walls so spikes protect both faces. Wrapped around posts, rails and sign edges using the lengthways folds.

Safety & good practice

  • • Wear gloves when handling and fitting — spike tips are sharp.
  • • Keep out of reach of children before installation.
  • • Install only on your own property and boundaries.
  • • ThornGuard is a humane deterrent — correctly fitted it deters animals without harming them.
  • • Check fixings once a season; UV-stabilised material needs no other maintenance.
