Is it safe for birds, cats and hedgehogs?
Yes. ThornGuard is a humane deterrent: the irregular spikes make landing and walking uncomfortable so animals avoid the area. Correctly installed, it does not injure wildlife or pets.
What's the difference between the 4m and 8m packs?
Only the quantity. The 4m pack has 10 strips with 30 ties and 40 screws; the 8m pack has 20 strips with 60 ties and 80 screws.
Can I use it on a curved or narrow surface?
Yes — the strip bends along its length for curves and has two lengthways fold lines so it can wrap slim posts and rails on three sides, or be split into up to three narrow runs.
How do I attach it without drilling?
Use our 3M waterproof adhesive pads (sold separately) for render, uPVC, metal and AC units. Otherwise use the included screws or cable ties.
Will it damage my fence?
No more than any screwed fitting. Cable ties leave no marks at all — ideal for rented properties.
Is it legal to use?
Yes. Humane spike deterrents are legal in the UK for protecting your property. Always install them on your own property and boundaries.
